To delete a page type

You delete a page type by displaying it, then selecting Delete from the content drop-down.

However, you cannot delete a page type (and the delete option is not displayed) if:

  • the page type is built-in, or
  • there are pages of the type, or
  • the page type is in use as the target of a look-up field.

You can check if there are pages of the type by displaying the listing. Any listed pages must be removed completely (see ) or converted to another page type.
